DDU / DDP

4th Party Logistics ServicesDelivered Duty Unpaid (DDU)

DDU is the delivery of goods and cargo insurance to the final destination point, which is often the project site or buyer’s premises, at seller’s expense. Buyer assumes the import customs clearance and payment of customs duties and taxes. The seller may opt not to insure the goods at his/her own risks.

Delivered Duty Paid (DDP)

The seller is responsible for most of the expenses, which include the cargo insurance, import customs clearance, and payment of customs duties and taxes at the buyer’s end. The delivery of goods to the final destination point is often the project site or buyer’s premises. The seller may opt not to insure the goods at his/her own risks.

Consignments

Consignment Inventory is inventory that is in the possession of the customer, but is still owned by the supplier. In other words, the supplier places some of his inventory in his customer’s possession (in their store or warehouse) and allows them to sell or consume directly from his stock. The customer purchases the inventory only after he has resold or consumed it. The key benefit to the customer should be obvious; he does not have to tie up his capital in inventory.

Custom Clearance

We perform all necessary steps to obtain US Customs clearance for your goods in order to get your shipments released and delivered to their final destination in a timely manner. Rollins works with US Customs and all other government agencies on behalf of your company to obtain the fastest possible clearance into the United States. We file entries electronically with US Customs and ensure all other government agency requirements are met.

Door-to-Door

Rollins can set up to have your product picked up at our facility and delivered directly to you or your customer’s door step.

Door-to-Port

Rollins can set up to have your product picked up at our facility and delivered directly to the port of entry that you have defined. From there you or your customer can pick up the product.

Compliance

Every step of the way, Rollins ensures that your shipment is handled correctly within all laws and regulations.

Intermodal

Intermodal freight transport involves the transportation of freight in an intermodal container or vehicle, using multiple modes of transportation (rail, ship and truck), without any handling of the freight itself when changing modes. This method reduces cargo handling and improves security, may reduce damages and loss, and may allow freight to be transported faster.

Subassembly

A unit assembled separately but designed to fit with other units in a manufactured product.

Warehouse Management

A warehouse management system, or WMS, is a key part of the supply chain and primarily aims to control the movement and storage of materials within a warehouse and process the associated transactions, including shipping, receiving, putaway and picking. The systems also direct and optimize stock putaway based on real-time information about the status of bin utilization.

Pick / Pack / Kit

Pick and Pack services entail taking ordered goods out of stock and packing them so they can be effectively shipped to the end customer. The supplier then creates a customized kit that is assembled and shipped as one unit. Rollins offers a variety of flexible order fulfillment options including: breaking down pallets of cases for shipment of individual cases; picking individual items (packs or inner packs) from cases for order fulfillment; as well as building new cartons, packs or pallets to fulfill customized orders and meet customer requirements.

Inventory Management

Handles all functions related to the tracking and management of material. This includes the monitoring of material moved into and out of stockroom locations and the reconciling of inventory balances. Also may include ABC analysis, lot tracking, cycle counting support, etc.

Process Management and Control

Process Management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, techniques and systems to define, visualize, measure, control, report and improve processes with the goal to meet customer requirements profitably.
