Rollins is ISPM 15 compliant. This international measure developed by the IPPC directly addresses the need to treat wood materials of a thickness greater than 6mm when shipping products between countries. It affects all wood packaging material (pallets, crates, dunnages, etc.) requiring that they be treated with heat or fumigated with methyl bromide and marked, often branded, with a seal of compliance. This seal is colloquially known as the "bug stamp." Products exempt from ISPM 15 are made from alternative material, like paper, plastic or manufactured wood products (e.g. plywood).

MIL-Spec Level A and Commercial Level BMil-Spec Packaging

Level A Packing: Military level of packing. Protection required to meet the most severe worldwide shipment, handling and storage conditions. A Level A pack must, in tandem with the applied preservation, be capable of protecting material from the effects of direct exposure to extremes of climate, terrain and operational transportation environments.

Level B Packing: Military level of packing. Protection required to meet moderate worldwide shipment, handling and storage conditions. A Level B pack must, in tandem with the applied preservation, be capable of protecting material not directly exposed to extremes of climate, terrain and operational transportation environments.

Military Preservation Methods

MIL-STD-2073 states preservation is the ‘Application of protective measures, including cleaning, drying, preservative materials, barrier materials, cushioning and containers when necessary.’

Commercial Preservation Methods

Rollins uses a number of preservation methods to protect your export shipment. Some of these include VCI Bags, Watervapor Bags, Desiccant Bags and Rust Inhibitor Lubricants.

Kitting and Assembly

Kitting: Rollins has the unique ability to take the materials that are picked and organize them in a package the same way every time. Kitting helps reduce lead time issues, helps reduce inventory and allows the customer to stage the kit along their production line to pull materials from.

Assembly: Rollins has the ability to provide a completed assembly to a tier 1 supplier. We can order all the materials off your Bill of Material through your supply base, receive the parts and turn the unit into one complete assembly. This allows the OEM to reduce cost and still have a completed unit to install on their final product.
